THE THEATRE SHOWS: LINEUP ANNOUNCED!
The Theatre Shows

It's time to make Rock n Roll history... again. In the spirit of the old Fillmore East, and my hero, Bill Graham, I am pleased to present "The Theatre Shows." Held at the beautiful Players Theatre on MacDougal St., the 3-day concert event will showcase some of the finest Rock acts around. Black Taxi will headline each of the all-ages shows, joined by a terrific cast of bands: The Shake, New Madrid, Milo & The Fuzz, Old Wives (NJ), Toy Soldiers (Philly) and Apollo Run. We at CitizenMusic expect nothing short of spectacular from all of the performances, and we know that anyone who attends will walk away with the impression that they have experienced something that comes along only once in a lifetime.

DELI MAG VOTES SHAKE #1. NOW IT'S THE FANS' TURN.
Deli

The Deli Magazine, the foremost authority on Indie music and its surrounding scene in New York (as well as other cities, but who cares about them, right?) has just voted The Shake as New York's top emerging Alt. Rock band in town. The contest, which included hundreds upon hundreds of bands, was voted on by an impartial panel of journalists from The Deli Philadelphia, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Now, the contest has opened up to fan voting, and it is those votes that will determine who ultimately will be declared "Best Emerging Band." So get out there and vote, suckers! And if your auntie, or granny or bestie has an internet connection, he/she should be voting, too. For The Shake, of course. Happy fuckin' New Year!

FIRST CONCERT OF 2010 ANNOUNCED!
HF 12-12

CitizenMusic Presents will kick off its 2010 concert season at Cake Shop with a freakin' awesome bill. Our boys, New Madrid, will be joined by Action Painters, Hank & Cupcakes and Old Wives. Do yourself a favor: Get there early and stay there late. You really don't want to miss any of these bands, like, for serious.

MORE FOR YOUR VIEWING AND LISTENING PLEASURE

Continuing on our theme of bringing back some of the best moments of 2009, we bring you Milo and The Fuzz, live from Public Assembly. Enjoy! (The boys will be back at Personality Crisis @ Shea Stadium this Christmas Eve. Wouldn't miss 'em if I were you.)

SOME HOLIDAY CHEER FROM THE SHAKE

Some of the references may be a bit out of date since this was recorded last holiday season, but it still makes us laugh. And it's catchy as hell. Enjoy this Christmas carol from The Shake

FOR YOUR VIEWING AND LISTENING PLEASURE

As we near the end of a very busy 2009, we find ourselves reflection on some of the more memorable moments of the year. So, we figured we'd share some selections with you over the course of the next few weeks. (Since things will be relatively quiet until January, we've got some spare time and empty space to fill up - what, like you don't?) This first selection is live video recording of our boys, New Madrid, performing at Glasslands in W'Burg. The tune is called "La AraƱa" and the band will be heading into the studio in a couple days to start recording it. Stay tuned for a big 2010 for New Madrid, as alongside the release of the single, the band will also be releasing the official music video for "Soberano." It's been a long time coming, but it will be worth it. Be sure so catch them at Cake Shop on Sat. January 23 with Hank & Cupcakes, Old Wives, and Action Painters!

HAAKON'S FAULT: FINAL CONCERT OF 2009
HF 12-12

Haakon's Fault are headlining a night at National Underground that is absolutely going to kick ass. The band hand-picked all of the bands on the bill, and guarantee that you will be funked by Pennsylvania natives The Inverse, Columbia party band Jake Snider and the Morningside Collective (feat. Doug Berns on bass) and funk monsters Schwizz. Following three sets of funky grooves, multiple horn sections, and a show that will make you dance uncontrollably, Haakon's Fault will take the stage for a huge throw down that will close out our 2009 concert calendar. It's been a great year for Haakon's Fault, and we look forward to celebrating by partying with you all on the 12th!

THE GREAT BIG CONCERT / THE SHAKE RELEASE PARTY
Dec 3

This Thursday our boys, The Shake, take to the stage at Santos Party House to celebrate the release of their new album, "The Shake Go Crazy." They'll be joined by three of the absolute best bands New York has to offer: Milo & The Fuzz (redefining punk), Reckless Sons (the epitome of live Rock n Roll) and Black Taxi (simply divine). DJ Dave Edwards will spin his set and keep the dance party going until the break of day. This might be the concert of the year.
